Pasta Salad Thyme…….

PASTA SALAD THYME

TRY THIS FOR A LIGHT AND SUMMERY PASTA SALAD THE NEXT TIME YOU GET INTO ONE OF THOSE “I DON’T FEEL LIKE COOKING A WHOLE BUNCH OF STUFF AND CLEANING UP A BUNCH OF MESS” MOODS.  TOSS SOME COOKED AND COOLED PENNE PASTA (DOESN’T HAVE TO BE PENNE, I JUST HAPPENED TO HAVE SOME LEFT BEHIND FROM A PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE) WITH SOME CHOPPED FRESH THYME, CAULIFLOWER BUDS THAT HAVE BEEN EVER SO LIGHTLY BLANCHED, SOME SLICED CELERY, VERY FINE CARROT MATCHSTICKS, AND SOME SLIVERS OF YOUR FAVORITE SPICY CAPICOLLA HAM.  PUT IT ALL INTO A BOWL AND TOSS THAT STUFF AROUND LIKE IT’S IN A CEMENT MIXER.  INTORDUCE A LITTLE BIT EACH OF CRUSHED RED AND BLACK PEPPER, AND KOSHER SALT.  MIX AGAIN.  FINISH THE WHOLE THING OFF BY TOSING IN JUST ENOUGH OLIVE OIL (I LIKE EXTRA VIRGIN) TO COAT EVERYTHING AND KEEP IT FROM CLUMPING TOGETHER LIKE A MESS.  FINALLY SIT BACK AND OPEN AN ICE COLD LAGER….MICHELOB WORKS BEST……AND ENJOY……TASTES BEST WHEN ITS REALLLLLY COLD…..THE SALAD I MEAN…..THE BEER IT’S A GIVEN……FLAVORTOWN AIN’T GOT NOTHIN ON THIS……
